Harlan Schwarz, SVP, Group Account Director
A Jack of all trades and a master!
Harlan's experience runs deep. Quickly grasping a client's needs, he immerses himself and his team in category and brand dynamics to make an immediate and profound impact. At TargetCast tcm, Harlan is one of several Group Account Directors; he is directly responsible for leading the development of communication insights, strategy, plans and implementation for a number of TargetCast tcm clients.
Prior to joining TargetCast tcm, Harlan was SVP for the Magazine Publishers of America (MPA). There he ran all marketing outreach to the advertising, and client community on behalf of the magazine industry. At Universal McCann, he enjoyed a long tenure, holding SVP positions as: Director of Strategic Print Services; Director of NY Media Planning; and Group Media Director. In these various roles, he was responsible for driving advances in client service, media strategy and management.
Harlan was responsible for managing the on-going business and launches of many high-profile clients including: Coca-Cola, Bacardi, L'Oreal USA, Nestle, AT&T, Lucent Technologies, Agilent Technologies, Johnson & Johnson, Unilever, Nintendo Video Games, SONY Corporation, Swatch Watch and The New York Times.
He current serves as Chair of the AAAA's Newspaper Committee. Harlan is also the former Chair of the AAAA's Consumer Magazine committee and has sat on the ABC and BPI Advisory Councils. He was also named one of the top 25 B to B media strategists by Advertising Age.
